Resilience planning because it is not nice to fool with Mother Nature

Resilience planning and implementation reflects a shift to a future-now focus. A great number of organizations are working on both sides of the coin; reducing emissions and addressing the needs of communities in coastal areas and elsewhere, who face the impacts extreme weather events. On the East Coast we have Rebuild by Design, they are now working globally with 100 Resilient Cities.  On the West coast out of Stanford University is The Solutions Project is working with 50 states and several countries to get to 100% renewables by 2050. In Europe there is a strong grassroots movement a foot with Resilient Europe and ICLEI Resilient Cities  hosts the Resilient Cities – The Annual Global Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation – is the global platform for urban resilience and climate change adaptation, hosted every year in Bonn. Their resilience library has several surveys of projects undertaken around the world. These are a handful, watch this space, and add yours in comments.
